Spring is creeping in, and that means camping season is just around the corner! While the trees are still bare and the river is just starting to wake up, now is the perfect time to get ready for your 2025 adventures at White River RV Park & Campground in Montague, MI.
We officially open on May 1, and whether you’re a seasoned RVer or just planning your first family camping trip, March is the ideal time to prep your gear, plan your weekends, and start dreaming of sunshine and s’mores.
Step One: Plan Your 2025 Camping Calendar
Get ahead of the rush by mapping out your camping weekends now:
- Opening Weekend (May 1–4)
- Memorial Day (May 23–26, 2025)
- 4th of July and Fall-O-Ween are always camper favorites
- Birthdays, anniversaries, or just-because weekends!
Popular cabins and riverfront and camp sites book quickly, so grab your favorite spot early.
Step Two: Gear Check & Spring Refresh
Now’s the time to dust off your equipment and knock out some early-season maintenance:
Tent & Cabin Campers:
- Air out tents, sleeping bags, and hammocks
- Inspect for rips, broken zippers, and missing stakes
- Wash gear and pack a bin with essentials (flashlights, sunscreen, bug spray, card games)
RV Campers:
- De-winterize and flush water systems
- Test your battery, lights, propane, and appliances
- Restock hoses, leveling blocks, and backup supplies
